- Coach Popovich played for the Phantoms for seven years (2018-2024) starting with his 15u season all the way through his collegiate playing career.
- Assistant coach with the Phantoms from 2022-2025. This will be his first year leading a Phantoms team.
- All-Conference and All-Area pitcher at Kaneland High School.
- Played collegiate baseball at Trinity International University and Judson University from 2021-2025.
